Crest and Crest Max are the newest smartphones from the European smartphone maker – HMD. They are the first smartphones sporting the HMD brand in India. Formerly known as Arrow & Arrow Plus/Luxe, both phones are initially India-exclusive. At some point, the phones will also be exported from India to a few other countries.
The 5G-enabled Crest and Crest Max are not just heavy on the spec sheet. They also feature many unique wallpapers that seem to be specially designed for the device. The hero wallpaper features a Peacock – the national bird of India, probably to make the India-exclusive connection for the Crest series. All the exclusive wallpapers feature feature origami art.
Oddly, apart from the unique origami wallpapers, the phone also includes wallpapers designed for the HMD Pulse series, the first phones under the HMD brand name. Including the HMD Pulse wallpapers doesn’t hurt, as having some extra default wallpapers benefits the customer.
